PURPOSE

Statute Article-3:
The aim of Turkish Nurses Association, which adopts the basic principle that the main purpose of life is to be productive and therefore an optimal level of physical, mental and social infrastructure is necessary to enable productivity, and based on this principle, the aim of Turkish Nurses Association, which is a public benefit organization of a professional group that provides nursing care in all environments where service is provided for the protection and improvement of health and restoration of health of the sick individual;;
To strive for the nursing profession to be an autonomous health care profession that provides high quality and reliable services for the benefit of society.
 ACTİVİTİES AND INTERESTS:
Statute Article-4:
a) To strive to ensure that individuals, families, groups and society receive as much qualified care as they need at the time they need it, in accordance with the principles of equity, and to participate in the studies conducted.
b) To strive to ensure that care is provided primarily within a health improvement and disease prevention system.
c) To conduct studies to demonstrate that care is delivered in a common language among nurses, is visible, and therefore measurable and evaluable, and to continually monitor and improve the results of the studies.
d) To monitor the policies of the health care system in which nurses are involved both as individuals and as professionals, to contribute, as appropriate, to the formulation of policies and to the monitoring of the policies adopted in the relevant decision-making mechanisms, and to express their views when and where appropriate.
e) To take part in platforms established to achieve a common goal with other associations, non-governmental organisations, trade unions or foundations related to nursing in the field of health, which consists of different professions as a sector, and to participate in joint declarations.
f) To strive for the management of nursing care in every environment where nursing care is provided in such a way that care is provided with a special care arising from the characteristics of the environment. In this context, if a legislative change is required, to work towards this and to participate in the work carried out.
g) To strive for the development of basic nursing education and practices and the advancement of colleagues in their professional careers through critical thinking and research, to support the studies carried out in this direction, and to participate when necessary.
h) To develop cooperation with international organisations working in the field of nursing.
I) To provide the conditions for unity of thought and action with its members.
i) To protect the honour of the profession.
k) To establish and continuously improve the rules of professional ethics that will guide professional practice, taking into account universal moral values. l) To take action against verbal or written statements that may devalue the profession by individuals or organisations.
m) To organise credited certificate programmes for its members in cooperation with relevant institutions.
n) To discuss the contributions of the nursing profession to public health in co-operation with the community.
o) To organise meetings such as congresses, conferences, seminars and symposiums in connection with the objectives of the Association.
ö) To fulfil the requested duties as long as they are not contrary to the bylaws. To take all kinds of legal initiatives when necessary in relation to the purpose and working subjects of the Association.
